There’s no sweat, no perfection of postures, just lots of breathing, oxygenating, stretching and movement which anyone can do. You choose your pace and benefit from the practice immediately.

Also know as ‘Yoga of Awareness’, regular practice is said to awaken our kundalini energy, helping us live an authentically expressed life.

Kundalini Yoga is fun and gives you energy, inner strength and radiance.

It’s a system of physical exercises, breathwork, chanting and meditation to dissolve layers of tension (stress, pain, anger or fear) into health, emotional freedom and positivity.

The practice was introduced to the West from India in 1969 by Yogi Bhajan, who taught one of my teachers – Guru Dharam Singh Khalsa – directly.

Kundalini Yoga feels like alchemy, transforming energy to help you:

–Relax your mind, body and emotions
–Let go of stress, let go of the past
–Invigorate energy through an active body workout
–Awaken your true nature
–Build strength and stamina through dynamic yoga postures
–Increase peace and fulfillment in relationships
–Heighten intuition, sensory awareness and creativity
–Gives you grace to handle modern day challenges

The practice is designed to bring natural relief and healing to everyone. Through it’s special blend of breathing, movement, stretching, meditation, and chanting, you’ll shine your best-self like the sun!

Meet Hema

“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs.
Ask yourself what makes you come alive and then go do that.
Because what the world needs are people that have come alive”
– Howard Thurman

Hema facilitates healing on all levels through energy work. One of her teachers was taught directly by Yogi Bhajan, the man who introduced Kundalini Yoga to the West in 1969. In 2007, after many foggy years of depression and social anxiety, masked under a variety of artificial chemicals, Hema quit her well-paid job, packed up her London flat and arrived in 2 weeks later, marking the beginning of a quest into the Alternative Health, the MindBody connection and the nature of reality. She began training in Hatha Yoga and studying Taoism in 2007 under the direction of Shakti Mhi, and later Kundalini Yoga with iSKY plus various Meditation styles over the years. She enjoys beauty, Electronic music, Horror films and Genmaicha Tea. Real connection, playing and studying are her main priorities. She totally in love with her Indian heritage and Eastern Culture. She runs a busy Reiki practice and school (initiating others into the Reiki lineage) to help others also find peace and unlock the body’s natural healing ability. Hema wants to live in a more truthful, whole-hearted world. Her current studies involve Traditional Eastern Tantra. Life is a celebration, and living a life you love with positive effects for your community and planet all starts with relaxing and loving yourself!

I guess if I had to pick some labels, I’d say I am an introverted, eccentric activist for natural health and emotional freedom! I am a proud Indian by heritage, having been raised a Sikh, and although I don’t label myself as Sikh now, I pick and choose what works for me – I still sing Kirtan as I did as a child in Sikh temples. I have& travelled a lot to keep growing and learning and loving. I recently lived in Berlin as a lifestyle choice for 4 years and am now based in my hometown of Birmingham as a healing facilitator using the tools of yoga and Reiki.

Over a decade ago, I decided pharmaceuticals weren’t working for me and I began working hard to heal overcome depression and social anxiety. I tried everything from bodywork, hypnosis to shamanic retreats. Kundalini Yoga ignited me in a way I never thought possible. Reiki connected me to a spiritual realm I didn’t even know existed. Still enjoying personal breakthroughs, I’ve learned a thing or two about health and wellbeing the way nature intended. These days I like myself, feel comfortable in my own skin, and am a stronger, braver, and more vulnerable woman who gets shit done in line with her values, insisting on saying no to as much nonsense as possible. (Although meeting me you wouldn’t believe that it never used to be like that.) I now come alive by helping others unleash their best version, and experience reality in a way they never dreamed possible. When I teach I often express my way of being in the world. I have been labelled a ‘rebel-yogi’ although I’d say I’m just more sincere and open than rebellious. I am human. Contrary to popular opinion my work does not mean I consider myself to be the finished article. I was once for many years furiously angry about human apathy, slaughterhouses and child abuse. I realised my acts of resistance to what society was grooming me to be whilst I was barely alive would not stop the injustice. Teaching is a way to channel my own experience into something positive. I try to support what I believe in, try to do some good in this world, trying to help people learn how to relax naturally and experience the relief and optimism they need to kindle their own light and birth their authentic voice.
Whilst I don’t have all the answers, what I have experienced and must share with the world is the following: Life does not have to be a struggle. You do not have to be a prisoner to your mind and emotions. Your body has the ability to heal itself. You can alter your brain chemistry, and retrain your mind to replace self-sabotaging thoughts. You can tune into the spiritual realm for a richer and more meaningful experience as a human being.

I can help you increase your energy, enhance productivity and reverse mental anguish. I adore helping people manage their experiences better, in a more empowered and natural way. I love to see people move from overwhelm to peace. I’m passionate about living a fun and meaningful life and finding people on my wavelength to enjoy the ride. I’ve taught in Italy, France, Turkey and Spain on private superyachts. Naturally keen to pack quite a punch into this life, I maintain daily balance by practicing what I teach. I keep my energy clear and high through my personal spiritual practice (sadhana) to help others to the best of my ability. I’m a lifelong student; off the mat I’m ordering more books and balancing my scientifically-metaphysically-curious-nature by laying down a lot! listening to lush electronica, running, playing, eating chocolate, and hanging with the animals. I’m so glad you found me – reach out anytime..
